The Big Peach. The ATL. The Dogwood City. Many attractions celebrate Atlanta's diverse story and beckon conference attendees. Between panels, sample the city’s many cultural sites, for example the High Museum of Art or the Museum of Contemporary Art. For pop culture fans there is Swan House, featured in The Hunger Games And of course, there's a Walking Dead Tour! Stop along the way to have “A Coke and a Smile”--at the World of Coca-Cola. Music fans can grab a copy of the ATL Rap Map for a tour of Atlanta’s hip hop legacy. Into the news? Visit the CNN Center or the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library. Most prominently, there are the powerful National Center for Civil and Human Rights and The King Center for Nonviolent Social Change. These institutions remind us of the transformative effects of Dr. King’s struggle for the dignity of all people.
REGISTRATION OPENS JANUARY 15, 2024
CEA 2024 is going PAPERLESS! Watch here for more information about our Conference4Me (C4ME) app!
PREFER PAPER?
We will also post a PDF of the conference schedule and program for attendees to download. The initial program draft will be posted in January and updated regularly.
Once again, the CEA Conference in Atlanta will include “Roundtable Sessions,” a feature introduced at the 2023 CEA Conference in San Antonio.
Watch here for a list of ROUNDTABLE SESSIONS!
This year's GRADUATE STUDENT gathering will also be an introduction to our new "CEA Mentors" program. The program is a partnership between more "seasoned" tacher-scholars and those un the early stages of their careers.
The CEA Mentors Program is just one more way the CEA supports Graduate Students.
The conference hotel is the WESTIN BUCKHEAD. The CEA rate is $175.00 per night (excluding taxes/fees). The conference rate is available between March 19 and March 24 (time to see the pandas!)
At CEA, we choose our conference city not only for how it speaks to our community but also for the opportunities it offers to conference goers.
As a conference city, Atlanta is top notch. There is so much to do, see, and eat--and not just at the conference.
